Bernie
He was half-husky, half something else (Aussie Shepherd?), but definitely 100% people lover. By any metric, Bernie was truly man's best friend. Sadly, he's gone now after 13-14 very productive and well-loved years.
Here he is around 4 years old, at the peak of his fetching, handshaking, sitting, chasing powers. No doubt he was wondering why I wasn't throwing something for him to chase. Besides jumping up and licking you in the face, or trying to weasel his 70 pounds into your lap, chasing balls was his most favorite thing.
So long Bernie - you were the best.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that Brad. Whenever I hear of people loosing pets it really makes me sad.
I lost one of my two tabby kittens after thirteen years of unconditional love about three months ago and it still hurts a little. She was my little girl. I know it must be difficult now, but just cherish the wonderful memories you had.
I offer you my condolences.

I can relate...
10 years ago I had to put my dog to sleep: she was just shy of 21 years old and in the space of just a few weeks her health went rapidly downhill.
The evening I did the deed, I went over to a friend's house. She had a dog named Shadow. Shadow jumped in my lap and I started scratching the back of his neck. My friend said "Oh, Shadow's just in doggy heaven right now!"
And then she froze, shocked at what she said considering what I had done to my dog earlier that day. Then we both laughed.
I married her 18 months later :)

Brad,
Are you at WWDC?
Have you picked up a new Mac Pro?

Brad,
What do you think about cider? It kinda looks to replace your job. Although I think they are blowing smoke I've known friends that bought cedega to play windows games on linux. Yes, linux users buying something. I know, it was hard for me to believe also.
your thoughts?

Thanks for making me laugh out loud. :-)
As for Cider, well, we'll see. I really shouldn't say too much about it lest I get myself in trouble, but I think their track record with Cedega (on which Cider is based) in terms of compatibility and ease-of-use says a lot.
