I am not sure if this is the place to post this, but I have a request for you: Could you describe the job of a Mac Game developer ? I am a Java developer, Mac fanatic ;-), and gamer (on mac). I did a bit of OpenGL way back, I also tried the pretty good JMonkey Framework (OO game framework based on Open GL).
Personnaly I find Obj-C, C and C++ too old to be pleasant to use, getting segmentation faults, or no good exception handling, no garbage collector...
But still I would love to get involved into game programming for the mac. Could you please write a post describing your day to day work, what you like and dislike, and what it takes to do the job?
Also where should I start, what companies are looking for mac programmers...
The thing's on but we have a little bug if we want to read comments in archive prior to May 2005. The blog want's to connect to the old adress (www.brad-oliver.com:8080) instead of www.brad-oliver.com:8081. The old comments are still there, but we have to cheat with the adress bar to read those. :-D
Comments
