First GUI-able
The project I'm working on now (which is still unannounced) hit a minor milestone yesterday. It's not yet to "first playable" but it's definitely to "first drawable". In fact, it's more than that - it's to "first can-use-the-GUI-and-main-menu-and-everything-looks-pretty-good-except-for-a-few-missing-heads-able"
I'd love to post a few screenshots of the headless models, but I can't until the cat is out of the bag. Hopefully it won't be too much longer, but just in case, I've come up with a cheesy code-name: "Yugo." I'm never sure how obscure these code-names really are, as someone invariably just guesses their favorite game and then tries to find a connection.
Anyway, if you can come up with the game and make the connection that I made, and you're the first to post about it in the comments, then I'll see about getting you a free copy of the game once it's released. Naturally, I can't tell you if you won or not until the game is announced. :)
Edit: I should add that I have no idea when the game will be announced. It could be tomorrow or it could be months away - I have no clue.
Edit #2: In case it wasn't clear, it's not sufficient to just guess the game - you have to describe the association that I made with the code-name. :-)

I'm guessing Need For Speed: Underground.

Could it be GTA?

The only association I had was the Yugo car, and racing in NFSU. That being, the cars in NFSU are pimped out like crazy and Yugo's are pretty much the lamest car ever. I supposed that's why I picked it.

When you say GTA, which version do you mean? I'm assuming not GTA 1. ;-)

Hmm, I thought of the Yugo being a car thing too.. a Yugoslavian car at that, which brings up thouts of something from Croteam... being a Croatian Game Dev company.
The talk of GTA would be nice, especially now that it's a possibility with the exclusivity deals for the PS2 and GTA:Vice City and GTA3 are over now. And there were Yugo's in GTA...

Just for the heck of it my first guess is Freedom Fighters. There are a lot of historical freedom fighters in Kosovo/Yugoslavia.
NFPS;UG seemed a little too obvious (and someone already chose it with the same reason I would have).

That "exclusivity" deal Take 2 had with Sony made it exclusive on the PS2 in the console market. Take 2 still had rights to do a PC version whenever it wanted and later ratified the deal with Sony so that it could also port it to the Xbox.
Furthermore, that deal doesn't expire until GTA: San Andreas ships. And GTA3 has been on the PC for a long time now.

My guess is Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
A connection between Yugo and the game: Yugo for Yugoslavia. What Yugoslavia and Persia have in common is that neither exists as a country today. The first was replaced recently by Serbia + Montenegro, the second is now Iran.
Not the most plausible guess, I admit... but at least my game involves models having heads! Missing heads from a racing game probably wouldn't amuse Brad quite so much, would it? So let's see some more guesses involving games that have heads in them, people! :-)

Far Cry. iirc, it's being developed in the same country that provided us with that fine auto.
... I'm probably way off, though...

I'm going with Stalker, since there's Yugos in it. But since there's no chance of Stalker ever coming to the Mac, my guess is pointless.
Croteam = Serious Sam, ya? Interesting.
I think I saw a Yugo in HL2, so I'll guess that too.
I think they redesigned the Warthog for Halo2. Now it's a Yugo. With tusks and a gun. Yes, Aspyr bought Microsoft.

I wanted to generalize it by saying GTA, to include GTA III and Vice City. ;-)

Okay, this is supreme optimism....
Yugo= a vehicle
Battlefield 1942= innovative use of vehicles in a multi player settings....
so my guess is BF1942
